"Uncle Joe's Cartoon Playhouse" Finds a Home on BITE TV

Posted on Mar 01, 2007

Sudbury, March 1, 2007 — March Entertainment's Uncle Joe's Cartoon Playhouse, a new variety comedy starring Joe Flaherty, is set to air on BITE TV.

The show features various edgy, animated shorts such as "Big Ass America," "TransForce" and "Becoming Georgie," a series that explores George W. Bush's college years.

In between cartoons, "Uncle Joe" plays the drunken, misanthropic host of a show inexplicably aimed at children. The interstitial sketches represent March Entertainment's first foray into live-action television production.

Uncle Joe's is one of several original series hosted by BITE TV, a digital cable specialty channel specializing in international short films, animation, and interactive television aimed at males aged 18 to 34.

The show will premiere on Thursday, March 2 at 9 p.m., and from there will run several times daily. For a full schedule, visit http://www.bitetv.ca/.

Clips from Uncle Joe's Cartoon Playhouse will also be available for previewing online and through mobile entertainment services. See http://www.ilaugh.com/ to view select clips from Uncle Joe's.
