March Entertainment's acclaimed animated series Yam Roll is launching on Hulu, the popular video streaming service.

The show, which includes 39 11-minute episodes and 39 three-minute shorts, is available in the U.S. on Hulu.com and the Hulu Plus subscription service. It will join Chilly Beach, another March Entertainment show recently released on Hulu.

Produced by March Entertainment for Canada’s CBC and the Cartoon Network in the U.S., the series premiered in 2006 and continues to air on the CBC's Saturday morning kids' block as well as Australia's ABC2 and HBO Asia, garnering a large and enthusiastic following through a combination of broadcast play, film festivals, and its rich official website.

"Yam Roll is an irresistible character and his unrequited love for a tuna roll named Minamiko is one of the great cartoon romances," said Catherine Tait, president of online distributor and content partner Duopoly. "The unique designs by Jon Izen and the offbeat yet charming characters who occupy Yam Roll's Happy Kingdom make this series a truly undiscovered gem."

Fans of the sushi-themed cartoon will find an extra treat in the recently launched browser game for CBC.ca/Kids, Yam Roll in Kooky Cabbie. Players can drive Yam Roll's taxi through the zany streets of Happy Kingdom, picking up fares and avoiding monsters in a quick-paced, addictive Flash game.
